The Gods of Olympus

In The Gods of Olympus, every player plays a Greek god vying for the greatest prestige in the eyes of his or her fellow deities. The game is played out on a map of ancient Greece, Western Turkey, Crete, and the Aegean sea.

This is a game of negotiation, backstabbing, heroic quests, mythology, and war.

The board is a photo of a rather crude drawing.  It is sectioned off into 9 pages that can be easily printed and taped together.  You can download it from here:

The cards were created using a template for Office Depot White Matte Business Cards (10 cards per page).  So, they can be easily printed onto sheets of those and separated out with very little fuss.  Or, you can just print them out on regular paper and cut them apart (in the Cards.pdf file).

Although my prototype uses wooden tokens, glass beads, figurines, and poker chips, I realize that not everyone is going to have a wide enough variety of all that just laying around.  With that in mind, I created a .pdf with tokens that you can print out and cut apart (in the Tokens.pdf file).

The rules themselves are in the Olympus.pdf file.

And, finally, the actual files (struck out links are older versions):

Version 0.5 (8/20/09):

This version made the resource spending much simpler based on play-tester feedback that it was too complex.

Also, rules were added to restrict the board size for small groups of players.
