          - If a player rolls an odd number they don't move at all and pass the die to the next player

          - If a player rolls an even number, they may make the following decisions

Move forward the number on the die - Turn Ends

Roll again - If they roll an odd, they must move back that number of spaces. If it's an even number they can make the following decisions

Move forward the total of both die rolls - Turn Ends

Roll again - If they roll an odd number, then they must go backward triple the amount on the third roll, they get to move forward the total of the first two rolls as well as sending a player of their choice back to the start.

         Winning:

First player to cross the top line wins

Lesson 2

Name:

     Odds and Evens

Items Required:

Notepad, 1 X Die, Pen for each player (Different colors if possible)

Players:

     2+

Description:

Odds and Evens is a game of risk, players nominate odds or evens and roll the die in hope of getting the nominated type.

But be careful, the more times you roll the bigger the penalty, if you get it wrong, but the larger the gain if you get it right.

Rules

     Game Board:

Each gap between the lines on the notepad represent 1 space.

     Start Play:

          -Players each roll the dice

-The Player with the highest number goes first (If 2 or more players roll the exact number then they re roll till a winner is decided)

-Turns go clockwise from the first player.

     Turn:

          - During a turn, the player is required to roll the dice at least once.

          - Before each roll a player must nominate Odds or Evens

          - If a player doesnn't roll the nominated type they don't move at all and pass the die to the next player

          - If a player rolls  the nominated type, they may make the following decisions

Move forward the number on the die - Turn Ends

Roll again - If they don't roll the nominated type, they must move back that number of spaces. If the call is correct they can make the following decisions

Move forward the total of both die rolls - Turn Ends

Roll again - If they don't roll the nominated type, then they must go backward triple the amount on the third roll, If the call is correct they get to move forward the total of the first two rolls as well as sending a player of their choice back to the start.

         Winning:

First player to cross the top line wins

Notes:

I found that by adding the extra choice element, I found that it really made no difference to the game in a sense. Basically when deciding whether to go odds or even the choice was always evens because you would always get a better score than if you choose odds.

But the concept did give spring up some additional ideas that could be explored. This could involve special spots along the way that players may aim to reach thus encouraging them to test out odds. Maybe instead of racing to the top players could be racing to points on the page and must land on those points exactly.

Lesson 3

Name:

     Bloody Baron

Items Required:

Game Board, Dice, Player Figures, Red Baron Figure, A deck of cards with three copies of each pickup point

Players:

     2-4Players

Description:

Players are escorting planes around the war fields to collect VIPs and take them out of battle. The only problem is the Red Baron is making life difficult for everyone. The winner is the player who successfully brings a nominated number of VIPs

Rules

     Game Board:

The Board built around a map of Europe, a series of paths connected to drop points across the map. Germany and England are marked as starting points (England for Players, Germany for the Red Baron)

     Start Play:

          -Players each roll the dice

-The Player with the highest number goes first (If 2 or more players roll the exact number then they re roll till a winner is decided)

-Turns go clockwise from the first player.

     Turn:

Task Phase: If a player hasn't got a pickup card then they must draw one. This is the designated point that a player must head to, in order to collect a VIP. Players may only have one pickup card at a time.

Player  Phase: Players roll to get a dice score and may move there game piece in which ever direction they may follow.  If a player lands exactly on the appropriate pickup point, then they have collected one VIP . and may discard their pickup point card. If the baron is encountered they must attempt to escape (See Fighting the Baron). If a player returns to england with VIPs then that player has dropped them off and cannot lose them to the Baron.

Baron Phase: Player may then roll the dice, to move the Baron, double the amount written on the dice.

Fight Phase: If the Baron encounters a player, that player must attempt to escape.  (See Fighting the Baron) as long as the Baron wins he may continue to fight, but cannot fight the same person twice. A player doesn't have to use all of the Barons moves

     Fighting the Baron

               - Players must nominate odds or evens and then roll the dice.

               - If the player guesses correctly then they are safe and may roll again to move the baron away (An encountered players are not fought after this)

               - If the guess is incorrect then a player loses one VIP member on their plane. If a player has no VIPs on board then they are sent back to England. If the Baron was moved during a Baron Phase then the player may continue moving him.

     Winning:

First player to return 6 VIPS to england is the winner
